To support this, we offer a comprehensive training program, structured and tailored as per our client’s specific requirements and it generally includes:

 

Providing maintenance staff with detailed knowledge on how to diagnose faults, plan maintenance and in case of faults how to quickly rectify them and make the system return to full performance.

Giving technical support staff in-depth knowledge on how to modify the system to achieve desired changes in functionality.

Providing management with a summary of the systems available with an explanation of plant operation and data acquisition.

ELECTRICAL SUPERVISORS COMPETENCY

This Electrical Supervisors Competency training course has been designed for the mining industry to cover all aspects of duties and responsibilities of an electrical supervisor, and will include detailed explanation of the requirements of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations and the requirements of the electrical safety management systems audit. Electrical Supervisors demonstrate and document their ability to effectively supervise, manage and control the duties and responsibilities of an appointed Electrical Supervisor on a Mine site.

The course outcomes include:

  • Information on West Australian Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations which apply to Electrical Supervisors.
  • Means for Electrical Supervisors to understand and apply the correct methods and procedures to meet the requirements of the Act and Regulations.
  • Electrical Supervisors to demonstrate and document their ability to effectively supervise, manage and control the duties and responsibilities of an appointed Electrical Supervisor on a Mine site.
  • An understanding of the West Australian Legislation and Australian Standards this must be complied with in association with the Mines Safety Inspection Act and Regulations for effective control of electrical work on a mine site.

The course is conducted with opportunities for interaction and discussion among the participants with particular emphasis on a clear understanding and comprehension of statutory and other requirements to be met and how this can be achieved. The course includes a number of handouts including a hard cover manual, “Guidelines for Electrical Supervisors”; it is then assessed and a certificate issued upon successful completion.

This course is recommended for all Electrical Supervisors as initial training with ongoing refresher training recommended every 2 years. Competency Training offer the flexibility of either delivering this courses on site, or alternatively, we can host at our dedicated training centres. The course can also be modified to suit your company’s policies and procedures.
